ThinkHigher invites you to take part in the Youth Grand Challenge and gain a bronze or silver Crest award with help from staff at the University of Warwick.
An introductory launch event takes place on Monday 24th July 10am - 3:30pm at the University of Warwick.
The Youth Grand Challenges provide real-world opportunities for young people to engage with cutting-edge research and product design ideas that have the potential to change the world. From researching vaccines for infectious diseases to designing creative new solutions that improve the lives of some of the poorest people on our planet – innovation, science and technology are key to tackling some of the most urgent global issues of our time. You will work on an independent project of your choice tackling real-world issues and have expert help from across the University of Warwick. Project ideas can be found on the link below - or, you can of course come up with your own idea!
Each workshop runs from 10am – 3.30pm at the University of Warwick and lunch will be provided. Tours of the university’s facilities are also available during your day.
Attend as many of the workshops as you can; you are not required to attend all the dates and you will receive recognition for each of those that you do attend.
To celebrate your achievement, an awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 5th October 6.00-8.00pm. You are welcome to invite three guests along with you to share your celebration.
