Financial Education and Independent LivingSEssion details
Informal education workshops to provide knowledge of financial independence such as understanding tax, national insurance, budgeting and managing debt. Plus living independently such as understanding mortgages and rental agreements, support services and mental health awareness. The workshops aim for students to look at their realistic planned salary and compare this to their planned outgoings to understand the impact of financial planning for lifelong well-being. Includes parent and carer aspects of financial services support too. Aims & Objectives

A virtual progression event to provide further support for students in years 12 and 13 about universities and university life- including student finance and course videos from university ambassadors. Also information and videos about apprenticeships, careers information regarding choosing your progression route based on current labour market information plus a careers challenge and interviews with a photographer, graphic designer, TV & radio presenter and construction manager, mental health information and also the opportunity for live Q&A sessions with various university ambassadors Aims & Objectives

On-site and virtual informative, interactive workshops about student finance including tuition and maintenance loans plus grants, bursaries and fee waivers.
