Closing date: Sunday 26th September
Interview Date: 14th and 15th October

The role
The UniversityGo! programme works with young people in years  7-9, who are in Local Authority Care, to support their educational progression and help them recognise their potential. The programme is a partnership between the two virtual schools in Coventry and Warwickshire and the two regional universities, University of Warwick and Coventry University.

UniversityGo! focuses on giving young people an insight into university life, supporting identified students to develop resilience, self-confidence and efficacy in their education, engaging students in types of learning that they may not experience through school, and supporting our cohort to build essential skills such as team work, communication and  research.

UniGo Ambassadors will build relationships with students they are matched with and mentor them to raise their career aspirations. Mentoring will take place both through online mentoring and physically - preference of this can be discussed if successful.

Mentors will be supported to plan and deliver their own sessions and liaise with schools. The sessions can work around your current commitments but you will need to commit to a whole academic year.
