Finance Workshop

SEssion details
This session will be about the financial options students have when they are going into post 16 and post 18. Topics will cover the possible financial help students can get when moving into post 16 and 18.

We will cover bursaries at post 16 and up to date information around student loans at post 18. We want to make clear that money shouldn’t be the barrier for not taking their education further.

Aims & Objectives
  • Students understand the financial options available to them.
  • Understand student loan and how it differs from other loans.
  • Difference between student debt and other forms of debt.

In this session we talk about how social media can affect people.

How it is a good way to stay in touch with people, the damaging affects it can have on your mental health and how you need to be careful about what you post on social media.

  • Promote healthier and safer use of social media

Design Your Own University

SEssion Details
A session based around what post 16 options are available and the differences between them. A lot of focus will be on students making the right decision for themselves. 

We will try and empower students to not just follow what their friends are doing.

  • To feel empowered to make their own decisions about their future education.

Information, Debt, Knowhow

Session details
In this session we look at what Higher Education looks like covering the academic side, social side and personal side.

We look at the different types of courses you could do and explain how some courses can be majority course work or majority exam based. The beneficial side of how Higher Education can improve you socially and personally.
